Ed has taken our family portraits a couple of times. Each time he is able to capture the spirit of our family. We were so thrilled with so many of our family portraits taken by Ed that we had a hard time deciding on just a few. When the time came for my senior pictures Ed Thompson was the first person to come to mind from having seen his work with my friend’s pictures. He not only did the traditional formal pictures with me but also braved the barn where I rode. He was able to envision and use ordinary barn items that ended up creating very creative, stunning images. Working with not only me but also my horses was a challenge that Ed took it in stride, capturing the best moments even as the horses got fidgety. Ed was able to to capture the relaxed, country side of me while still getting the more formal shots my parents wanted. He was fun to work with and kept the mood light and joking while getting the shots wanted.

Ed made a picture of our family which consists of 31 people from infants to great grandparents and all ages in between. To get a good picture of that many people took extreme patience and skill and it turned out beautifully! He arranged everyone in a pleasing way and managed to get smiles out of everyone! We were very pleased with his work and certainly recommend him as an excellent photographer!
